We are the GATX Rail Europe group, which consists of GATX Rail Austria GmbH, GATX Rail Germany GmbH and GATX Rail Poland Sp. z o.o.

GATX Rail Austria GmbH and GATX Rail Germany GmbH (formerly KVG Kesselwagen Vermietgesellschaft mbH with head offices in Vienna and Hamburg) were established in the fall of 1991, just before the privatization of the railcar fleet of the former East German Railways (Deutsche Reichsbahn). At the end of 2002 KVG was acquired by GATX Corporation.

GATX Rail Poland Sp. z o.o. (the former DEC Sp. z o.o.) has been operating on the rail tank car rental market since 1950. Pursuant to the Polish governmental program of petroleum industry restructuring and privatization, in March 2001 DEC Sp. z o.o. (DEC) became a part of GATX group.
