The  GATX Trainspotting Contest (“Contest”) is organized by GATX Rail Austria GmbH (“Organizer”) and is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram. By participating, entrants agree to release Instagram from any responsibility related to this Contest.

• The Contest is open to all individuals age 18 or older residing in Europe.
• In order to enter the Contest, participants must agree to these Terms and Conditions for the GATX Trainspotting Contest (“Terms and Conditions”). By submitting a photo or video, the participant accepts these Terms and Conditions and confirms that he/she has taken the submitted photo or video him/herself, he/she is the sole owner of all rights to the submitted photo or video and that they are free of third-party rights.

• The contest begins on March 4th and ends on April 30th, 2025, 11:59 PM (CET).
• Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

• Participants must capture a high-quality photo or video of a GATX railcar in action, showcasing it graffiti-free and in good weather conditions.
• Submit your photo or video (attached or via wetransfer) to info@gatx.eu with the subject line “Trainspotting Contest”.

• Photos or videos must prominently feature a GATX railcar, only.
• Submissions must be in high resolution, free from watermarks or text overlays, and devoid of any offensive or inappropriate content.
• Photo or video must be original, unpublished, and not previously submitted to other contests.

Technical Requirements

• TechSpecs for Video
  Frame rate: 25fps
  Resolution: 4K preferred (at least Full HD)
  If possible: Camera Preset Sony FS7 or similar = S-Log or comparable
  Stability: Use a tripod for stable footage
  Composition: Keep the camera horizontal, either let the train pass or pan smoothly
  Raw files preferred
  No watermarks, logos, or frames

• TechSpecs for Photos
  Format: JPEG or TIFF
  Resolution: 300 dpi
  Minimum file size: 5 MB
  Editing: Unedited, RAW files preferred
  No watermarks, logos, or frames

• By submitting a photo or video, the participant grants the Organizer, free of charge, an exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use the submitted photo or video in all conceivable ways (including, but not limited to, the rights to copy, reproduce, edit, modify, publish, distribute, and display it) in any and all formats or media, including but not limited to social media, websites, and any advertising or promotional materials and marketing campaigns, in any manner without further review, notice, approval, consideration, or compensation and waives his right to be identified as the author of the photo or video.

• A panel of judges from GATX Rail Europe will evaluate submissions based on creativity, quality, and relevance to the Contest theme.
• The winner will be announced via email and/or Instagram in early May 2025.

• The winner will receive a voucher worth 300€ for camera equipment and one of our GATX railcar models of their choice.
• Second and third places will also get to choose a GATX railcar model.
• The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

• The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant from the Contest, if in the Organizers sole discretion, it reasonably believes that the participant has violated these Terms and Conditions, or has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deception or unfair play or practiceIf, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Organizer which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, the Organizer reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.

• By participating, the participant agrees that personal and image-related data will be stored and processed by the Organizer for purposes of administering the Contest and contacting the winner.
• Data will not be shared with third parties without prior consent.

• The Organizer is not responsible for any technical issues, such as email delivery failures, or incomplete submissions.

• The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.
• By participating, entrants agree to release Instagram from any liability related to the Contest.

• The Contest is subject to Austrian law and the jurisdiction of the competent Austrian courts.
