IT Network Engineer (m/f/d)

To support our growing organisation we are currently looking for 

IT Network Engineer (m/f/d)

Your main responsibilities:

  • Maintain, support and further develop the network environment, including the Data Center and office locations  
  • Implement and maintain network solutions, including VLAN, BGP, ACLs and related network components  
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, including ACL configuration, routing, firmware upgrades, VPN, syslog and general firewall operations 
  • Support Disaster Recovery procedures 
  • Provide operational support to the team in maintaining IT infrastructure services 
  • Monitor IT infrastructure using SolarWinds or similar monitoring tool 
  • Coordinate and work efficiently with external partners/vendors to ensure smooth operations of internal tools 
  • Actively participate in IT projects and contribute to successful implementation  
  • Provide second-level support resolving tickets in Jira

You are a good fit if you have:

  • Higher education, preferably in a technical/IT field 
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in administering IT network infrastructure  
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining network solutions using Ruckus (or Cisco/Extreme), including VLAN, BGP, ACLs and strong overall networking knowledge  
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining firewalls (Cisco or similar), including ACL configuration, routing, firmware upgrades, VPN and syslog administration  
  • Experience supporting Disaster Recovery procedures with VMware SRM; knowledge of Veeam for disaster recovery is an advantage 
  • Experience building network infrastructure from scratch, including SD-WAN solutions 
  • Very good command of English (German, Polish or French is a plus) 
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, including Jira 
  • Proactive, structured work approach and ownership of assigned tasks, processes and documentation 
  • Willingness to grow professionally and collaborate effectively within the team  
  • Willingness to travel (once per quarter), driving license would be a plus 

 

Nice to have: 
  • AWS or Azure Network knowledge 
  • Veeam knowledge 
  • Practical experience with Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, EntraID, Exchange, Active Directory) 
  • PAM knowledge 
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Spedition & Logistik Industry in occupation group B/I with a minimum salary of € 2.663,50 gross per month. Our salary package is based on current market salaries and starts at 60.000 gross per year (full-time basis).
