When a handshake seals the deal, it’s a partnership built on trust. That’s exactly how the collaboration between GATX Rail Europe and ENNA Transport began. During the transport logistic fair in Munich, where the teams agreed on the terms, we kicked off the first chapter in this intermodal transportation partnership.

Intermodal Railcar Handover in Slovakia
At the end of summer, our GATX team handed over type 9480 container railcars to ENNA Transport in Sered, Slovakia. The delivery included a combination of newly built and existing railcars, which our teams quickly organized to meet our new customer’s timeline. The railcars will be used to transport containers on routes between Croatia, Hungary, and Serbia. “We value GATX’s flexibility and commitment to our tight delivery schedule. The new railcars will strengthen our capacity and help us prepare for the expansion ahead,” said Gregor Glušič and Petar Glavaš of ENNA Transport.

ENNA Transport, part of the ENNA Group since 2015, is Croatia’s first private freight rail carrier and a key player in the region’s intermodal sector, holding more than 20% market share in Croatia. With the container terminal Rijeka Gateway, a joint venture with Maersk Line, which began operations in September, ENNA has geared up for significant growth in rail-based container logistics across Southeast Europe.
