At GATX Rail Europe, employee well-being remains a key priority. Building on the success of previous initiatives, we once again held Health Days in Hamburg. The event was open to colleagues from all our German offices, making it an accessible and inclusive health initiative across the country.
A Focus on Preventive Care and Awareness
Most of our colleagues in Germany took part in this year’s Health Days, making use of a wide range of preventive services. Occupational health professionals offered more than 100 individual medical consultations and examinations. In addition, workplace massages contributed to physical relaxation and well-being during the two-day event.
A special highlight was a dedicated course on women’s health. The session combined medical background information with practical guidance and hands-on learning using examination models. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, and due to the strong response, the course will be offered again in the future as part of GATX’s health initiatives.
Making Health Care Accessible at Work
By bringing preventive health services directly into the workplace, GATX Rail Europe continues to lower barriers to routine check-ups and health education. Health Days are designed to create time and space for topics that are often postponed in everyday working life, while also fostering open dialogue and awareness around health and prevention.
Looking ahead, Health Days are planned again for employees in Vienna, Austria. In other locations, such as Warsaw and our in-house workshop in Ostróda, employee health is supported through an even more intensive occupational medical program, complemented by first-aid training and ergonomic workplace consultations in office settings.
Through initiatives like these, GATX Rail Europe continues to invest in a healthy, informed, and supported workforce, today and in the years to come.
