Our 30,000th railcar has entered service with a long-standing and outstanding partner. This milestone railcar is now officially in operation and was delivered to Gunvor Deutschland GmbH, a customer that has been part of the GATX journey for over a decade. The official handover took place on 1 July, and it was a moment both teams celebrated. Behind this one railcar stands a fleet of 30,000 railcars that are built, maintained, leased and operated in collaboration with customers like Gunvor Deutschland GmbH who value partnership as much as we do.

Since 2014: Built on Trust
Gunvor, a multinational energy commodities trading company and operator of its own refinery in Ingolstadt, has been leasing railcars with GATX since 2014. What has made this partnership last? New Railcars on the Way
Beyond the milestone railcar, we are delivering additional tank railcars to Gunvor Deutschland GmbH between July and September. Built for the transportation of light petroleum products like diesel and gasoline, these railcars will operate across Germany and beyond. “Gunvor Deutschland GmbH represents everything we value in a customer relationship, which is a long-term vision, operational excellence, and mutual respect,” said Mario Reinke, Sales Manager at GATX Rail Europe.
